LITTLE ROCK STUDENT MTB

The Little Rock Student Mountain Bike (LRSMTB) Teams consist of four competing teams within the Arkansas NICA League; the Capital City Cranks (CCC) team, the LR Catholic High School (LRCHS) team, the Mount St. Mary Academy (MSM) team, and the LR Central High School (LRCentral) team.  Both the MSM and LRCentral teams are new to the AR NICA League this season.  The CCC is a composite team made up of co-ed student athletes in grades 6th through 12th.  This year, we are accepting 5th graders onto the team.  Anyone in the Little Rock area can join the Capital City Cranks.  The LRCHS & LRCentral, & MSM teams are made up of 9th through 12th grade students who attend those schools specifically. So why are the four teams linked together?  Well, a lot of the LRCHS, MSM, and LRCentral student athletes actually start as a Capital City Crank athlete if they join NICA while in grades 5th - 8th and then move on to the NICA team associated with the high school he/she attends.

2024 will be our 8th year in the Arkansas NICA League and during that time these teams have essentially functioned as one larger team.  We practice together throughout the season.  Likewise, these four teams share the same social media pages, coordinate race weekend activities, and raise funds jointly as Little Rock Student MTB.  At the end of our 2023 season, LRSMTB had a combined total of 59 registered student athletes, 38 NICA-certified coaches, and numerous dedicated family members and friends who help make the team...
